The compact and basic room was reflected in the cost. The room was clean, with enough basic facilities for our overnight stay. We booked here because it was convenient for the route of our travels and we could get on the road again quickly to continue our journey. A very good option for this sort of arrangement. It's close to a few fast food places (McDonald's, etc) which was useful since the restaurants of the town were otherwise closed on our arrival on a Sunday evening. Snacks are available from vending machines in the reception.

Perfect location to get to the town centre. Great value for money. Breakfast really good and worth paying for in advance ( worked out at €3 per person when paying at the time of booking). You get what it says on the tin- cheap and cheerful. Good car park locked for the night , not a covered one.

Handy for the town centre. Juat a little walk away. Easy to find on outskirts of town centre. Basic, but very clean and good value. Liked the no breakfast option at the lower price as we don't eat breakfast. Great parking facilitates right next to the hotel.

Easy secure parking, helpful reception staff, room was very clean, bed was comfortable. Breakfast was expensive but a good choice of food. Bread, croissant, boiled eggs, fruit salad, yoghurt, juice, cheese, ham and more. 15 minute walk into the town square for bars and restaurants.

We had no intention of staying in St Omer, but due to a (self inflicted) problem with our Eurotunnel booking, we found ourselves looking for accommodation for ourselves and our dog at no notice in peak holiday season. No mean feat, as everything in Calais and the neighbouring towns was booked out. We always stay in Ibis Budget hotels when we're on road trips, so used this website to find the nearest one that had available rooms. Which is how we came to unexpectedly overnight in St Omer ... The hotel was just what we have come to expect - no frills, clean and convenient with surprisingly comfortable beds. There is also a large secure parking area that's free for guests. As ever, our dog was welcomed without question, which is a huge plus. Most Ibis Budgets are located on the fringe of towns/cities, which makes them convenient when you're on road trips and don't want the hassle of detouring into the town/city centre. In this case, St Omer is pretty small, so you can walk into the lovely city centre in about 10 minutes - on a hot summer's night, it's a vibey place with very few tourists (at least foreign ones) in evidence. There's also a supermarket a few minutes walk from the hotel if you have forgotten essentials or want to stock up on stuff for a picnic. Should you be catching the Eurotunnel, the Calais terminal is an easy 40 minute drive.

Convenient situation en route to the channel tunnel with easy road access. Compact modern design of the room made washing and showering a little awkward but clean and comfortable. Good breakfast available for early departure and good parking arrangements.Excellent value for money .
